Painting, says Nishant Chhatwal,is an integral part of his life. The Class X student of Mount Carmel School is excited about his second painting exhibition titled Reflections, which has over 100 of his works on display. “Art gives me great joy,and what words cannot express, art does. In my works, all I do is to express reality, forms and shapes as I perceive them,” says Chhatwal, who has been painting since the age of seven and had his first exhibition in 2007.

Chhatwal uses various mediums, including oils and water colours, and his works often explore social issues like female foeticide and empowerment of women, besides the ubiquitous reflections on nature.

Reflections is on at Punjab Kala Bhawan,Sector 16 till March 18 from 11 am to 7 pm.
