Renovated hall opened at Chandimandir base

Fully renovated Manekshaw Auditorium at Chandimandir Military Station has been inaugurated last evening in a special function organized to mark the occasion jointly by GOC-in-C ,WC Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra along with Anshul Chachra ,President,AWWA,WC. Now it has been fully equipped with latest facilities.

Army Commander calls on UT Administrator

Lieutenant General Sanjiv Chachra,General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Command called on Shivraj Patil the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh,to thank Shivraj Patil for his assistance provided to Western Command. As per an official,the Governor was proud of the support being rendered by the Army to the States of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in the recent rescue and relief operations. The Army Commander briefed Shivraj Patil on the Senior Veterans Home which was coming up to the desired expectations. The year 2012 was declared as the Year of the Veterans and many progressive schemes were launched for the welfare of the ex-servicemen.
