Two day CME in PGI concludes

Chandigarh:A two day CME on “Recent Advances in Cytology and Gynaecological Pathology” and workshop on “Liquid Based Cytology” organised by the Department of Cytology and Gynaecological Pathology at PGI concluded today. The CME was organised as a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of PGIMER,Chandigarh. Cytology and Gynecological Pathology is a unique combination covering about 40-50% of work load in our day to day routine practice of pathology,said the doctors from the department.

Medical camp held for senior citizens

Chandigarh:The Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association organised a medical camp today at the Gurudwara Sector 8,Chandigarh. This was the third camp in a series of such camps and other events forming part of over a month’s celebrations culminating in their formal function on October 1,the International Senior Citizens Day. Over 350 patients including senior citizens benefited from the camp held today.

Two arrested for misbehaving with girl

Chandigarh:Two youths were arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a girl at the ISBT Sector 17 on Saturday. According to a police officer,on Monday around noon,Manoj Kumar and Ajay,both in their twenties and residents of Vikas Nagar,were arrested by police officials deployed at the bus stand for misbehaving with a girl and a case of obscene acts or songs was registered. The accused were later released on bail,the officer added.
