BSP to protest against rising prices
The Bahujan Samaj Party will hold a protest against the rising prices of petrol on June 30 at the rally ground in Sector 25. Addressing a press conference today Narendra Kashyap,National General Secretary of the party said that the policies of the UPA government support the industrialists. He said that it was due to the wrong policies of the party that the prices of essential commodities were increasing. The protest will be a part of the series of protests being held all over the country by the party. During the protest,issues pertaining to Chandigarh will also be taken up. Similar protests will be held in all districts of Punjab on June 28.
Surya Group felicitates aptitude test participants
Surya World Group of Institutions felicitated more than 300 students of Class X and XII today. The felicitations were for the aptitude tests that the institution had conducted between September to December 2010. The institution had conducted these tests in 104 schools from Punjab,Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The tests conducted were free of cost. The students who had performed well in these tests were awarded in the function. Dr. Vidhu Mohan,former chairperson of department of psychology was the guest of honor.
Immigration visas given to aspirants
Former Governor of Punjab Lt Gen B K N Chibber and former Chief Secretary of Punjab A S Chatha gave visas to the immigration aspirants of worldwide immigration consultants. The two dignitaries were also accompanied by Justice (retd) A S Gill. A S Chatha,while talking to the participants said,It is not difficult to migrate to such countries as they are basically made by the immigrants. People migrating from Punjab are making its culture more diverse. Participants from Delhi and various cities of Punjab including Ludhiana,Jalandhar,Bathinda attended the ceremony.
