Educationist, traveller and photographer Mitul Dikshit walked on the wild side of Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya to showcase an exhibition of photographs titled “The Masai Mara” at Punjab Kala Bhawan. During three days of intense shooting,Dikshit captured the picturesque reserve, focusing on the natural beauty and its inhabitants which make Masai Mara one of the most popular destinations in the world. While the trip resulted in close to 4,000 photographs,on display are 160 out of them, with the showcase divided into the various species of animals.

Dikshit says that as he set out each morning,he had no idea what surprise the day held for him. “The vastness of the landscape and the variety of the wildlife here is spellbinding, and it’s the survival of the fittest, with each animal playing a productive role in the circle of life,’’ he says, adding that capturing the animals in a hunt was surely the most exciting part of this adventure.
