“Similarly department of CTVS performed 1251 open heart surgeries which is four times the number of open heart surgeries performed in the earlier years. Neonatal Cardiac surgeries including arterial switch operation on neonates are being carried out routinely in the Centre. Complex surgical procedures like aortic aneurysm surgeries are also being performed routinely,” she said.

In the Advanced Eye Centre,new equipment for patient care was procured that included Spectralis HRA offers multimodality imaging (6 imaging modalities) on a single platform which includes infra red,red free,fluorescein angiography,ICG angiography,optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Fundus autofluoroscence for various retinal diseases.
