It could just be a panic creation or deep shivers within the states ruling BJP that after party dissidents, including three MLAs raising their pitch, state BJP president Khimi Rama strong loyalist of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumalhas landed up at the doors of party president Nitin Gadkari.
Khimi Ram is accompanied by state units two general secretaries Chander Mohan Thakur and Ram Swaroop besides six party eaders including a sitting MLA Renu Chadha to meet Gadkari and appraise him about the governments new initiatives and partys working.
Its just a routine party work. After every Assembly session,I generally travel to Delhi to meet the central leaders, Khimi Ram said declining to elaborate.
Some of the party dissidents, who are camping in Delhi also met Gadkari and demanded intervention of the leadership in making immediate changes in the organisation by replacing Khimi Ram.
While pressing their demand for changes in the party structure, the dissidents did not spare Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and raised questions on his style of working and efforts to marginalise a section of the party that was uncomfortable with his team in the cabinet or even the party.
Gadkari listened to the party leaders but declined to give any commitment. Instead,he praised Dhumal and took full credit for appointing Anurag Thakur as president of Bharatiya Yuva Janata Morcha.
Next elections in Himachal Pradesh will be fought under the leadership of Dhumal and the BJP is confident of repeating Gujarat in Himachal Pradesh in 2012, he reportedly told.
Not taking any chance, the chief minister s team also approached Delhi and sought appointment with Gadkariwho was in Nagpur during the day.
However, bomb blast in Delhi on Wednesday kept top party leaders busy and Khimi Ram and other Dhumal camp leaders could not get through key party leaders during the day.
Meanwhile, most of the dissident leaders had gone on a denial mode about their meeting with the BJP president and also having lodged any protest against the government.
