Administration should check unplanned development

Three wishes :

* The city known for its planned structures and sectors is losing its identity due to the haphazard development of slums in its periphery. The Administration should check such unplanned development stretching at a fast pace. Even the slum rehabilitation schemes announced by Chandigarh Housing Board have not materialised yet.        

* It is high time the Administration acts on the growing problem of traffic as the number of vehicles in the city are increasing every day.

* The Municipal Corporation should wake up to the parking chaos in some of the sectors. Alternative parking facilities like underground parking or multi-level parking should be offered to the public. The Administration should encourage the people to use public transport.
