Act against ‘threat caller’ from Australia,Mohali DC asks SSP

On June 16,Lal had sent a representation to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh,Union External Affairs Minister S M Krishna,Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal,Director General of Police K K Attri and Mohali Deputy Commissioner Prabhjot Singh Mand to explain the threat call.

Lal said the call came from an Australian phone number and the caller spoke in a Punjabi dialect. “Without revealing his identity,the caller disconnected the call when I tried to ask him his name and reason for calling,” Lal had stated. “Amit had also reported the matter to the Australia police,which had also not yet made any breakthrough.”
