2-year-old girl raped in Lalru

A two-year-old girl child was raped by a drunkard man at Nahar factory on Chandigarh-Ambala National Highway-21 in Lehli village near Lalru,the police said.

A two-year-old girl child was raped by a drunkard man at Nahar factory on Chandigarh-Ambala National Highway-21 in Lehli village near Lalru,the police said here today.

The victim was admitted at Civil Hospital in Dera Bassi for treatment while the culprit was on the run. A factory employee reported to the police that he lives inside the factory premises along with his family and at around 1.45 pm his wife found their 2-year-old daughter missing,following they started search for her. After some time,they heard the cries of their daughter from another room in the factory premises,which was locked from inside.

After repeatedly knocking the door,Subhash Kumar,a Bihar native and a factory employee,opened the door and we found our daughter crying and bleeding profusely inside, revealed the victims father. When asked,Subhash,who was in an inebriated state,told the girls parents that that she has fell down while playing and got injured.

At this,the couple rushed their daughter to Civil Hospital in Dera Bassi,where preliminary medical examination found it to be a case of rape.

The police have booked the accused Subhash Kumar for rape,voluntarily causing hurt and offences punishable with imprisonment for life under Sections 376,323 and 511 of Indian Penal Code and launched a hunt for him.
