Shivraj Singh Chouhan flags off 406 veterinary ambulances

“When a human falls sick, a phone call brings an ambulance to your home. Last elections, I remember we had promised to start an ambulance service for Gau mata… today that time has come…,” Chouhan said.

The CM also announced Rs 900 per month to farmers for rearing cows, the first instalment of which will be released to 22,000 farmers this month. People from the tribal communities will be provided 90 per cent subsidy for buying cows.

The CM also stressed on the need to make profitable the byproducts related to cow rearing. “…we need to work on making cow dung, cow urine and many other cow products profitable… are working on a project in Jabalpur to make CNG through cow dung…work on it is moving fast and I think by September, the work will be completed,” he said.
