CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan made 2715 announcements in the last 3 years: MP govt
“All the announcements of the chief minister are taken on record. On some occasions, implementation takes time as budget provisions need to be made and the law and rules are to be followed,” Rajneesh Agrawal said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made 2,715 announcements in the last three years, the state government stated in its reply during the monsoon session of the state assembly.
The information came from the state government in response to a question from Ramchandra Dangi, a first-time Congress MLA from Rajgarh district’s Biaora.
Dangi told The Indian Express, “I asked that question since the chief minister is on an announcement spree, and I wanted to see the total number of announcements made and how many of them would be implemented. The general administration department informed that the chief minister has made 2,715 announcements between June 2020 and June 2023. I do not have the data on how many announcements were implemented. I will keep pressing the government to reply to my question.”
The Congress on Wednesday called Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan an ‘Automatic Ghoshna Machine’ after the state government revealed the data. The state Congress took to Twitter to label Chouhan as ‘Madhya Pradesh Ki Ghoshna Machine’ (announcement machine of Madhya Pradesh).
Responding to the Congress’s remark, state BJP secretary Rajneesh Agrawal told The Indian Express said data shows that all these announcements are recorded and being followed.
“All the announcements of the chief minister are taken on record. On some occasions, implementation takes time as budget provisions need to be made and the law and rules are to be followed,” Agrawal said.
He said Chouhan has been the chief minister for 18 years which shows that his announcements are being fulfilled and their benefits were reaching the people.
