3 boys, man on another bike crushed by crane in Indore
The crane also crushed a second motorbike, killing its rider, Sunil Parmar, 56, police said.

Having left a wedding function at Indore’s Aurobindo area early, two siblings, their mother and a cousin were nearing their home in Kaveri Nagar when a crane came hurtling speeding down a flyover in Banganga and plowed into their bike.
The minors — Ritesh (16), his brother Sharad (6), and their cousin Raj (13) — died on the spot, while Ritesh and Sharad’s mother, Sharda, was admitted to hospital. “She is expected to recover…she is not critical,” Additional Collector (Indore) Abhay Bedekar told The Indian Express on Wednesday.
The crane also crushed a second motorbike, killing its rider, Sunil Parmar, 56, police said.
The accident took place during evening rush hour on Tuesday.
The accused — crane driver Anees (32) — has been arrested. He was produced before a local court on Wednesday and sent to judicial custody. Banganga police station in-charge Rajendra Soni said, “During questioning, the accused claimed the accident took place after brakes of the crane malfunctioned. But during an inspection of the vehicle we found the brakes were in working condition. We have overruled speeding as a cause of the accident based on analysis of CCTV footage. Further investigation is under way to ascertain the cause of the accident,” Soni said.
