Man killed in Bengaluru for asking youths not to booze
The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh, a resident of Ramachandrapura. The arrested have been identified as Pavan, 24, and Nanda, 21, both residents of the same area.

Advising two youths not to consume alcohol cost a 45-year-old man his life in Bengaluru after he was stabbed to death on Tuesday night. The police have arrested the accused and have started a probe.
The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh, a resident of Ramachandrapura. The arrested have been identified as Pavan, 24, and Nanda, 21, both residents of the same area.
The incident took place around 10.30 pm when Venkatesh was on his late evening walk towards the Ramachandrapura playground. He saw Pavan and Nanda consuming alcohol near the waterfield tank and advised them not to drink.
Since Pavan is Venkatesh’s neighbour, he thought the youths would not object to his advice. However, both of them took up a fight with Venkatesh. Even after Venkatesh reached home, Pavan fought with him and the former hit him. Enraged, Pavan went to his house, returned with a knife and stabbed Venkatesh.
The locals rushed Venkatesh to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police took Pavan and Nanda in their custody and later arrested them on charges of murder.
A police officer from the Vidyaranyapura police station said, “Pavan, a B.Com dropout, is unemployed and Nanda works at an office.”
