Bengaluru’s traffic and potholes have become infamous. In the past week, the Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka has been under fire for the traffic snarls and potholed roads in Bengaluru.

Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw recently highlighted these as well as poor waste management in the IT hub. Following this, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar replied: “…₹1,100 crore has been sanctioned for road repairs, 10000+ potholes identified, and over 5000+ already fixed on priority. Major infrastructure works are underway to make Bengaluru more globally competitive.” The duo even met on Tuesday to discuss the city’s growth.
