A 41-year-old software engineer died of snake bite in Bengaluru’s Bannerghatta on Saturday. The snake was coiled up in his shoes. The deceased, identified as Manju Prakash, an employee of TCS and a resident of Ranganatha Layout.

His relatives said he might not have felt the pain of the snake bite because of the numbness in his leg due to a previous accident.

The incident took place after Prakash returned home from a sugarcane shop wearing his Crocs around 12.45 pm. He then went to his room, leaving the pair of sandals outside.
