Aero India: Insects found in food supplied for security personnel; FIR registered
Security personnel deployed at Aero India in Bengaluru allegedly found insects in their food on Sunday and Monday.

The Bengaluru police Monday booked a service provider following allegations of insects being found in the food supplied to the police and Home Guard personnel deployed at the ongoing Aero India 2025, and suspended the contract.
According to the police, the action came after a photo emerged Sunday showing a cockroach in a food packet, following which the police personnel complained to senior officers. On Monday morning, the police personnel once again noticed some insects in their breakfast, and lodged another complaint.
Following the consecutive complaints, the police suspended the services of DNA, which was awarded the contract following a tender process, and asked Iskcon to supply the food. A police officer said DNA had supplied food for police personnel during the Indian Premiere League (IPL) and the previous edition of Aero India.
V J Sajeeth, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast), Monday visited the area and also inspected the quality of the food after the complaints from the security personnel.
The police later registered a case under Section 275 (sale of noxious food or drink) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
