The development comes after the use of technology-driven governance was announced during annual Chintan Shibir last month. The task force will be led by the Principal Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology. The Director of Information & Communication Technology and e-Governance will be the member secretary of the task force.
The task force will be responsible for preparing a strategy to design a wholesome AI roadmap and its implementation, identifying the areas to include AI in and promoting AI literacy among other things.
