Later, speaking to mediapersons, Sanghavi said: “Have appealed to parents and students that in friendship, we maintain secrets, but if a friend is addicted or affected by drugs, and we keep this a secret, it is not a good sign of friendship. If anyone is close to drugs, inform police. We want to fight strongly against drugs. I believe that together, we will win this fight.”

At the graduation ceremony, Sanghavi also said that there is “no need to be afraid of cyber bullying”. “If parents have failed to provide culture (sanskar) to their son, then no girl is required to be afraid…,” he added.

“I appeal to all parents and women to stop talking about girls who are victims of such cases. If you stop that then only girls will openly come out and fight bravely and bring a change in the society. Criticising the system will not bring a change in the society,” he said.

Further, speaking about cyber crime, he said, “If you get a nude call, why should the one receiving the call be afraid? What is the need to go to the level of suicide? Reach out to the police station and if you are not heard at the police station then call me, call my office. I provide 100 per cent assurance that we will provide full support.”

Around 1,000 students from science, commerce and humanities streams received their degrees on Wednesday.
