The sixth edition of the Ahmedabad International Literature Festival (AILF) was held in the city on Sunday. This time, the literature event focused on the roots of societal reforms through a session on the “model village”. A session on young women who overcame hurdles, and paved a path for themselves to set inspiring examples, was also conducted. Filmmaker Abhishek Jain, author Dr Sharad Thaker and radio jockey Dipali along with festival director Umashanker Yadav launched a book by Anil Chavda and discussed its various aspects.Veteran journalist and author Devendra Patel also shared his experiences with the audience during a session. The event was streamed online as well. Manoj Aggarwal, additional chief secretary of the social justice and empowerment department, and former additional chief secretary SK Nanda also attended the festival.
