The Vadodara fast-track court on Wednesday heard the bail application in the locally-assembled rocket launcher case but reserved its order till Friday.
Mushtaq Ali Sheikh,one of the five accused in the case,had filed the bail application.
The court heard both parties but reserved the order till October 9, said Hanif Sheikh,the counsel for the accused.
Earlier,one of the accused had secured bail in the case.
The arrests followed the recovery of a locally-assembled rocket launcher from the Hathikhana area.
The Vadodara police had announced the seizure of a locally-assembled rocket launcher,sutli (fuse)
bombs and explosives from the Hathikhana area on September 7.
In the same case,where the family of the two accused had filed fresh petitions on Tuesday complaining about the health conditions of the accused,the court asked the jail authorities to provide treatment to the accused at the SSG Hospital.
Zaheer Abbas Sheikh and Usman Gaffar Shah alias Nawab had complained of suffering from severe continuous headache,unconsciousness,and urination respectively.
Following this,the family of the two had filed petitions complaining about their health conditions.
Sheikh said,The court has asked the jail authorities to take them to the SSG Hospital and provide the required treatment.
The family-members of the five youths had earlier accused the police of inhuman torture following which a team of the National commission for Minorities (NCM) visited Vadodara. Activists had also claimed that Vadodara City Police had tortured the youths at a farmhouse while the families were kept in the dark about the detention for three days.
