Rajmata Gayatri Devi’s Gujarat connection

The erstwhile Maharani of Jaipur,Gayatri Devi,who passed away on Wednesday,had family connections with the royals in Gujarat as well.

The erstwhile Maharani of Jaipur,Gayatri Devi,who passed away on Wednesday,had family connections with the royals in Gujarat as well.

Tushar Sinh,the Devgadh Baria MLA and also the royal scion,and his mother Urvashi Devi,the former state minister,expressed their grief on her death.

Recounting the family connection,the Devgadh Baria MLA said that his grandmother,Prem

Kumari,was Gayatri Devi’s daughter,who was

married to his paternal grandfather Jaydeepsinh Baria.

The late Maharani was also related to the erstwhile Baroda Gaekwad royals. Tushar and others left for Jaipur to attend the state funeral.
