Rajkot to host sub-junior national aquatic meet

The city is set to play host to Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship 2012 next month. While the event is coming back to the state after 25 years,Rajkot will be hosting it for the first time. The four-day championship beginning July 1 will also be the selection ground for the Asian aquatic championship to be held later this year and a talent hunt for the 2020 Olympics. The event,organised by the Swimming Federation of India in association with RMC,will have over 600 participants,including two from the city and a total 17 from Gujarat.
