Paswan questions Modi’s Garib Kalyan Melas

Former Union minister and president of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Ram Vilas Paswan has questioned the motives of Chief Minister Narendra Modi in holding ‘Garib Kalyan Melas’ across the state.

“For whom the ‘Garib Kalyan Melas’ are organised?” he asked mediapersons during his brief halt in the city on his way to Bharuch for a Dalit meet. Garib Kalyan Mela is a state government programme for the welfare of poor in Gujarat. Paswan asked the Centre to extend reservation benefits to converted Dalit Christians and Muslims.
