The 76-kilometre route of the Ahmedabad Metro,linking the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar,has been finalised.
The route has been finalised by a high-level committee after a physical verification,said state Urban Development Minister Nitin Patel in a statement issued here on Friday.
The route will start at APMC,Vasna in western Ahmedabad and pass through Anjali,Paldi,Parimal Garden,Panjarapole,Vijay Char Rastha,Navrang six roads,Usmanpura,Vajan,Ranip,Sabarmati and Gandhinagar. The entire route will be elevated.
The second route will link areas in eastern Ahmedabad,including Jamalpur,Danilimda,Chandoda Talav,Isanpur,Ghodasar,Hatkeshwar,Rakhial,Bapunagar and Civil Hospital. Most part of this 22.8-km route will be elevated.
