The two sons of JD(U) MLA Chhotu Vasava are in the news again for the wrong reasons. The Bharuch police have booked both of them for attempt to murder,rioting and allegedly attacking a local Congress leader on Thursday.
According to the police,the incident was a fallout of an old JD(U)-Congress feud. The police said that Dilip Vasava and Kishore Vasava attacked Ballu Vasava (50) with a wooden bat,causing serious injuries on his head,hand and legs at Talodra village in Jhagadia taluka of Bharuch district.
Ankleshwar Deputy Superintendent of Police in-charge Bhimji Ninama said,The incident occurred between 12 pm and 2 am. Ballu was at Jhagadia Congress leader Girish Vasavas residence. Dilip and Kishore barged into the house and beat up Ballu.
Both the accused were accompanied by nearly 12 people,and seven of them were known to the victim. Others from the Congress received minor injuries,
Ninama said,adding that the accused have been booked under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
Ballu was rushed to the Patel Welfare Hospital at Jhagadia. Chhotu Vasava,Jhagadia MLA,refused to comment on this issue.
Earlier too,several cases have been lodged against the two. Dilip and Kishore were wanted for the murder of one Sheikh Shakil in Surat in 2001.
