ISI conspiracy: Bench refuses to hear plea

The Gujarat High Court has refused to hear a criminal appeal related to the ISI conspiracy case.

The Gujarat High Court has refused to hear a criminal appeal related to the ISI conspiracy case. This was for the second time that a Division Bench has refused to hear the appeal in the case in which the Special POTA Court has convicted 22 people. The bench of Justices A L Dave and B N Mehta refused to hear the appeal on Thursday saying ‘not before me.’ The appeal was assigned to the bench after another DB of Justices Jayant Patel and Z K Saiyed had refused to hear the same. HC Chief Justice will now assign the petition to another DB. The Special POTA Court in Ahmedabad had convicted 22 people in the case and acquitted as many others in January. Some convicts have challenged the order.
