2 admit undisclosed income of Rs 20 crore to I-T
Ahmedabad: A marble dealer and an architect have admitted undisclosed income Rs 20 crore to the Income Tax department during a search operation that began on April 21,I-T officials said on Saturday. During the operation,cash and jewellery to the tune of Rs 2 crore has been seized so far from these groups and around 40 lockers belonging to them have been sealed, an I-T official said.
Close to 40 premises in and around Ahmedabad,including a few on Abu Road in Rajasthan,were covered in the search, the official said.
A few premises in Surendranagar district were also covered. Several incriminating documents were recovered in the operation and are being analysed,the official added.

Three drown in Tapi
SURAT:Three persons including a father and his son drowned in Tapi river near a temple at Kamrej in Surat district on Saturday afternoon. Sources said a bus carrying over 25 residents of Somnath Society at Udhna Magdalla road in Surat,had gone for a religious ceremony at Bhimnath temple on the banks of Tapi river at Kamrej on Saturday. After completion of the religious ceremonies,Harish Rana (35),Kanchanlal Rana (55) and his son Ashwin Rana (21) went for a swim in the river. Soon,the trio started shouting for help. Some locals jumped into the river but could not save them. Kamrej police took charge of the bodies of the trio and them to New Civil Hospital for post-mortem. ENS
