Gujarat Maritime Board announces new boating rules

The Gujarat Maritime Board has announced the Gujarat Inland Vessels Rules, 2024, keeping in mind the safety of people during boating activities, said the board in an official statement on Thursday.

The rules contain detailed guidelines for registration-survey-operation of pleasure craft/boat and regulation of boats operating in internal waterways of the state, the statement added.

Under the rules, registration of pleasure crafts/ boats is mandatory for its owners and violation of the same will attract legal action against them, the statement added.
