While Governor Acharya Devvrat is aggressively campaigning for natural farming, MoS Education Praful Pansheriya has adopted the same in his kitchen garden at his official bungalow in Gandhinagar. Devvrat on Thursday visited Pansheriya’s kitchen garden in the presence of Education Minister Kuber Dindor. Pansheriya said he has been practicing natural farming at his residence for last eight months. The Gujarat State School Textbook Board, meanwhile, has included chapters on natural farming in social science textbooks of classes IX and X. It will also be taught to Class XI students from the next academic year.
Lalit Vasoya, former Congress MLA from Dhoraji, formally assumed the charge of the party’s Rajkot district unit president at a grand event organised in Rajkot city on Wednesday. Senior party leaders Arjun Modhwadia, Paresh Dhanani, Rutwik Makwana, Ambarish Der and Bhikhubhai Varotariya as well as former MLAs Pravin Muchhadiya and Mohammad Javed Pirzada were in attendance. Charismatic Vasoya takes over from Arjun Khatariya at a time when the party has been wiped out from the district in 2022 Assembly elections.
