The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested a junior clerk of the Godhra Municipality,who also worked as a marriage registrar,when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500 from an applicant. According to the ACB,the complainant wanted to register his marriage. According to Police Inspector K L Kikani,on June 21,the complainant,one Dilip Baria of the Godhra town,who recently got married,went to register his marriage,but the accused,Rajesh Soni,demanded Rs 1,500 for his chai paani. Baria told him that he would pay the money and informed our sleuths about it, said Kikani,adding that he was arrested on Friday.
