Forgery complaint filed against nagarpalika president

According to the complaint,one Jaswant Kumar Patel,a resident of Shivam Society in Kapadvanj,had applied for permission for a construction on GIDC plot 32,33 and 34 between February 19,2007 and March 23,2007. At that time,Soni was a member of the Nagarpalika town planning committee.

The committee gave permission for construction to Patel,but Soni,with the help of some of his colleagues,replaced Patel’s name with his own,on the document.

He then used the forged documents to avail loan benefits from the Bank of Baroda,which granted him a loan of Rs 1.5 crore.

Kapdvanj Town Inspector J B Pandit said: “We have registered cases under Sections 420,465,461,468,471 and 114 of the IPC.”
