Five persons die in two road accidents in Gujarat

In the first incident, three persons died when a speeding Chevrolet Tavera collided with a motorcycle in Mahisagar district around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Vijay Bariya (25), Darshan (22) and Shailesh (22), natives of Chapri village under Balasinor Taluka of Mahisagar.

Five persons were killed in two separate accidents in Mahisagar and Panchmahal districts Tuesday.

In the first incident, three persons died when a speeding Chevrolet Tavera collided with a motorcycle in Mahisagar district around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Vijay Bariya (25), Darshan (22) and Shailesh (22), natives of Chapri village under Balasinor Taluka of Mahisagar. “A speeding Tavera collided with a motorcycle on which the three deceased were travelling near Balasinor Mahadev Temple. We have lodged a case of accidental death in the matter,” police said.

In the second incident, two people were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a jeep on the Halol Godhra bypass road in Halol under Panchmahal Tuesday night. The deceased have been identified as Yuvraj Parmar (20) and Sanjay Parmar (22), natives of Rampura village under Halol taluka in Panchmahal.

“A speeding jeep collided with the motorcycle at Chandrapura intersection on the Halol Godhra bypass. The victims died on the spot,” police said.
