A fire broke out on Wednesday morning at the Gujarat High Court. A short-circuit in an air conditioner triggered the fire, officials said, adding that no injuries were reported. According to the Ahmedabad Fire Emergency Services (AFES) control room, a call was received alerting the department at 10:04 am. Ghanshyam Vaghela, a fire station officer and a first responder at the site, added the fire occurred near gate number 5, at a dispensary. “The fire was due to a short-circuit in the air conditioner in their record room," Vaghela said. A mini-fighter and two water tankers were deployed. "The fire was controlled immediately. None were hurt," added an AFES official. In a statement issued by the Registrar General of the High Court, the incident occurred around 9:45 am in the dispensary situated on the ground floor of the administrative building in the premises and was promptly reported by the staff to AFES.
