Delivery boy among 4 held for Rs 7 lakh heist

Mohsin Shah Diwan, who worked as a delivery boy for Amazon was arrested along with Imran Mustafa Malak, Mustafa Rana, and Saeed Ali Raj Sayed for carrying out the late evening attack on March 23.

The Vadodara Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) arrested a delivery boy and three others from Gorwa area of Vadodara in connection with the loot of Rs 7 lakh from the Amazon cash van in Gorwa area on March 23.

Mohsin Shah Diwan, who worked as a delivery boy for Amazon was arrested along with Imran Mustafa Malak, Mustafa Rana, and Saeed Ali Raj Sayed for carrying out the late evening attack on March 23.

According to the police, Diwan had hatched the conspiracy as he “had acquired sufficient information to plan and plot the entire loot,” during his employment.

Diwan knew that the Amazon van regularly carried cash late evening after the deliveries were made. They allegedly attacked the van with wooden sticks and broke open the glass of the van that gave them easy access to the black bag with Rs 7 lakh cash, police said.
