City Congress president Pankaj Shah has suspended two party leaders from Bapunagar area on charges of anti-party activities.
Mahendra Leuva and Amrutlal Solanki,both secretaries,were found to have worked against the official party candidate in the recently concluded bypoll in the Bapunagar ward of the city,Shah said.
Jayantilal Chavda,the party candidate,had lost to rival BJP.
Shah said that after Mahendra was denied ticket to contest the bypoll,he had also staged a two-hour dharna outside the state Congress headquarters,thus indulging into indiscipline.
He said the whole matter was reported to the state party leadership and the decision to suspend Leuva and Solanki was taken by state party president Arjun Modhwadia.
