BJP does welfare for all, says Cong ex-MLA Chavda as he joins party

He could not stop himself from joining the BJP after people from across the country came out in support of the Ram temple, an official release from the BJP stated quoting Chavda.

Former Congress MLA C J Chavda, who stepped down from the post in January, joined the BJP along with his supporters in the presence of Gujarat BJP chief C R Paatil in the Vijapur on Monday.

Chavda, a three-time Congress MLA, had resigned from the party last month citing his disapproval of the Congress leadership’s decision to stay away from the consecration event of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

“I will not speak ill about the party I have come from because I have worked for 25 years there. The final step in politics is to support a party that does welfare for all and the BJP is doing (that). From the Prime Minister to the smallest worker, everyone is working to solve the problems of people,” it added.
