CM travels economy class

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday travelled economy class from Ahmedabad to Delhi and back.

To attend the BJP parliamentary board meeting in Delhi,Modi took the morning Air India flight and an Indigo flight in the evening. Air India flight number 818 reserved three seats for him. “Two tickets were booked in names of N Modi and Narendra Modi. The CMO requested the airline not to allot the third seat to any one,” said an airline source. Sources said both the flights chosen by the CMO did not offer business class.

The state civil aviation department confirmed that Government of Gujarat plane,which is always used by the CM,is in working condition. While the CMO was tight lipped on why their boss chose to fly economy class,Modi,who gave account of most of the developments of the day on a micro blogging site,did not mention travelling economy class.
