BJP plans protests on June 23-25

The BJP will hold protest programmes across the state on June 23-25 to mark the death anniversary of its party ideologue Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee,who died on June 23,1975,in Kashmir.

The BJP will hold protest programmes across the state on June 23-25 to mark the death anniversary of its party ideologue Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee,who died on June 23,1975,in Kashmir. According to a party release,top national BJP leaders including Arun Jaitley,Ravi Shankar Prasad,Ananth Kumar and Balbir Punj,who is also party in-charge for Gujarat,will attend the programme on June 23,which the BJP also marks as Save Kashmir day.

However,BJP veteran L K Advani and party’s leader in the Lok Sabha,Sushma Swaraj,will not attend the function. State BJP’s media cell convener Jagdish Bhavsar downplayed their absence saying they could be having prior engagements.
