At his Bodeli fast,Modi slams UPA,media for burying Gujarat’s story

Chief Minister Narendra Modi announced a development package of Rs 220 crore for Bodeli,a small town in Vadodara district known for its large-scale cotton trade,at the Sadbhavana fast here on Friday.

After the day-long Sadbhavana Mission at Agriculture Produce Market Committee Market Yard ground,Modi addressed the gathering,which included local religious leaders from various sects.

The CM hit out at the Congress-led Central government for controlling the national media and not allowing the true story of Gujarat’s development to come out.

“Gujarat’s development is not going to be hampered by all these tricks. For the first time in the country,as many as 20,000 sarpanchs came together to discuss the development of Gujarat but not a single news channel could show this historic event.” A delegation from a Chinese company,dressed in tribal costumes,also visited the venue and met the CM.

Meanwhile,Vadodara police detained more than 20 persons,including Congress and Dindayal Sangharsh Samiti workers,who were protesting against the Sadbhavana Mission near the venue. They were later released.
