Gujarat is expected to receive another spell of unseasonal rainfall from April 5 to 7, stated the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Light rain and thundershowers are expected in the North Gujarat districts, including Banaskantha and Sabarkantha and Saurashtra districts of Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Morbi and Kutch on April 5 and 6. In South Gujarat districts of Bharuch, Surat, Narmada and Tapi along with Kutch will experience rain on April 7, as per the weather department.
Following unseasonal rainfall last week, the maximum temperature in the state on Monday was 3 to 4 degrees below normal temperature.
The maximum temperature recorded was 38 degrees Celsius in Surendranagar, while the highest minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius was recorded in Okha and Dwarka.
Rajkot recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius, Ahmedabad recorded 37, Kandla Airport 36.4, Gandhinagar 36, Bhuj 35.3, Keshod 35.2, Deesa 34.8, Vadodara 34.6, Bhavnagar 33.4 and Surat recorded 32 degrees Celsius.
