The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a packet — suspected to be containing drugs — from an isolated island in the Kutch district.
The recovery was made near Sugar Creek, about 15 km from the Border Out Post (BOP) Lakki.
Earlier, in a search operation, which stretched till late evening on Thursday, the BSF had recovered a similar packet of suspected drugs from Sekharan Pir bet, about 15 km off Jakhau Coast in Bhuj. Both these packets weigh 1 kg each with similar packing material having the stamp of Blue Sapphire. However, the exact nature and type of the drug is being ascertained, officials said.
Since April, 29 packets of charas and four packets of other drugs have been recovered off the Jakhau Coast.
The packets appear to have washed away with the waves and reached the Indian Coast, as per officials.
