AMTS sells 40 old buses

The ailing Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) handed over delivery of 40 scrapped buses to private bidders on Tuesday. The tenders for these buses were cleared a month ago and there were four parties that had bid for the buses,officials said.

The sale of scrapped buses fetched AMTS Rs 60 lakh.

Of the buses sold off as scrap in this lot,15 were old buses while 25 others were breakdown vehicles.
