AMC to build hostel for working women

The standing committee of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has approved construction of a six-storey hostel for working women in the Maninagar Assembly constituency,which is represented by Chief Minister Narendra Modi. This will be the first-ever hostel to be built by the AMC for working women in the city.

DRI officials seize sandalwood<\b>

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized smuggled red sandalwood weighting around 41 metric tonnes,worth Rs 17 crore,from Vapi GIDC in Valsad district on Wednesday. The officials claimed that the sandalwood would likely to be exported to some Gulf countries.

Modi to visit Bihar on November 2<\b>

Chief Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar again on November 2 to meet the families of six victims of the Patna serial blasts,former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday said. Modi will arrive in Patna by a special helicopter and visit families of serial blast victims in different districts,he added.
