The calls will be attended by operators from 10 am to 6 pm and after that an interactive voice response system will replace operators, said Municipal commissioner Guruprasad Mohapatra.

Patel said,“We have brought this call centre into play after one-and-half-year-long dry runs.It is the result of modifications and review of the current system working in Jan Seva Kendras at 225 taluka offices where it has been found successful”,Patel said that through this system, people will be able to register their complaints from the comforts of home using the web-base toll free number.

Hailing the municipal corporation officials for their proactive performance in this project, she said this would put greater responsibility on them to run the system efficiently to avoid manual handling of complaints.
