Tata Comm gets $83 mn for Tata Tele stake

Tata Comm said it had received Rs 4.24 billion from selling some of its stake in Tata Teleservices.

Tata Communications said on Wednesday it had received 4.24 billion rupees ($83 million) from selling some of its stake in group firm Tata Teleservices.

Tata Communications did not say the size of the stake it had sold in the mobile operator.

Earlier this month,a senior company official said Tata Communications had a 15 per cent stake Tata Teleservices and would be selling 0.6 percent to Japan’s NTT DoCoMo,which is buying a total 26 per cent stake in Tata Teleservices.

The Centre has approved Adani Power Limited's Godda Ultra Super Critical Thermal Power Plant to connect to the Indian grid, allowing them to sell power to domestic discoms. The plant, previously supplying electricity to Bangladesh, can now cater to India's power demand for 25 years, subject to compliance with regulations and guidelines.
