Share Market Live Updates: Nifty inches lower after hitting all-time high (File Image)Stock Market Highlights: After advancing in initial hour which led to Nifty 50 hitting all-time high, the Indian benchmark indices eroded all gains to slip in red. The Nifty 50 on Friday (May 3) surpassed its earlier all-time high level of 22,783.3 in the first hour of trade. Sensex, along the similar lines, has dropped more than 1000 pts.
All sectors slipped in red with IT, banking and auto stocks leading today’s losses.
Earlier today, the benchmarks made a higher opening on cues from global markets. Sensex opened 406.71 points, or 0.55 per cent higher at 75,017.80 while Nifty inched 118.10 or 0.52 per cent higher at 22,766.30.
India’s GIFT Nifty is trading at 113.50 points, or 22,897.00 higher at the time of opening bell. The blue-chip indexes closed higher in the previous session, as the market digested a less-hawkish US Federal Reserve stance and easing oil prices. The Brent crude oil price is trading below $85 a barrel mark.
From the Sensex basket, Bajaj Finance jumped 6 per cent, while Bajaj Finserv climbed nearly 5 per cent after RBI lifted restrictions on sanctioning and disbursal of loans through eCOM and Insta EMI Card.
The crude oil, however, has witnessed a minor elevation in its prices in the last two session. Brent crude oil is trading 0.31 per cent higher at 83.93 a barrel while WTI oil price is 0.33 per cent up at 79.21 a barrel.
Easing tensions in the West Asia between Israel and Iran, positive domestic earnings prints have fuelled optimism and buying interest. The oil prices are headed for sharpest weekly decline in three months.

Share Market Live Updates: MCX Gold prices have declined Rs 100 to Rs 70,636 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues and profit booking at higher level.
Similarly, Spot gold is trading 0.05 per cent lower at $2,308.40 per ounce.

Share Market Live Updates: Godrej Properties reported a 14 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 471.26 crore for the quarter ended March. Net profit of the Realty firm stood at Rs 412.14 crore in the year-ago period.
The result came on the back of higher income amid strong housing demand.
Total income rose to Rs 1,914.82 crore in the fourth quarter of last fiscal from Rs 1,838.82 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Brent crude futures for July rose 28 cents to $83.95 a barrel while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for June was up 30 cents to $79.18 per barrel.

Share Market Live Updates: Shares of Coal India Ltd (CIL) climbed over 4 per cent after the company reported a 26.2 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter.
The stock jumped 4.15 per cent to Rs 472.10 on the BSE. At the NSE, it rallied 3.97 per cent to Rs 471.95.
Coal behemoth CIL on Thursday reported a 26.2 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 8,682.20 crore for the March quarter on the back higher supplies of the dry fuel.

The stock rallied 7.54 per cent to Rs 7,400 on the BSE.
