Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom arm of Reliance Industries, will use Viom Networks’ tower infrastructure to roll out services across the country.

The company would use Viom Networks’ over 42,000 telecom towers to provide services, Reliance Jio said in a statement on Monday.

“This agreement is in line with our mission of a pan-India launch spanning next-generation voice and data services and leveraging existing telecom infrastructure,” said Reliance Jio managing director Sanjay Mashruwala.

Viom Networks is a joint venture between SREI Infrastructure and telecom major Tata Teleservices.
