Essar Power appoints Ankur Kumar as CEO of Renewables Business division

Essar Power Limited has announced the appointment of Ankur Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Renewables Business division.

Kumar, who was previously serving as the CEO of ACME Solar Holdings Pvt. Ltd, has 24 years of extensive experience in renewable energy and public infrastructure sectors. He also led the strategic expansion of ACME into green hydrogen and ammonia businesses.

“Ankur will play a key role in advancing Essar’s commitment to transitioning into Green Energy and establishing a robust renewable ecosystem in India,” a statement released by Essar said.

renewable energy solutions. Our collective efforts will play a significant role in driving positive change for generations to come,” Kumar said.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, Kumar completed his MBA in Finance and Strategy. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Delhi University.
