Urad,moong weaken on higher supply

Prices of select pulses fell by upto Rs 200 per quintal on sluggish demand.

Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale pulses market today as prices of select pulses fell by upto Rs 200 per quintal on sluggish demand against adequate stocks availability.

Traders said sluggish demand against easy availability of stocks on higher supplies mainly put pressure on pulses.

In the national capital,urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,600- 4,050 and Rs 4,400-4,700,while urad dal best and dhoya traded lower by the same margin to Rs 4,900-5,400 and Rs 5,300-5,400 per quintal,respectively.

Moong and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,750-5,500 and Rs 5,300-5,700 and moong dal dhoya local and best were enquired lower by similar margin to Rs 5,850-5,950 and Rs 6,550-6,650 per quintal,respectively.

Masoor small and bold shed Rs 50 each at Rs 3,550-3,750 and Rs 3,700-3,900 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,200-4,300 and Rs 4,300-4,400 per quintal,respectively.

Malka local and best quality too traded in negative with a loss of Rs 100 each at Rs 4,000-4,100 and Rs 4,200-4,300 per quintal,respectively.

Moth lost Rs 200 at Rs 4,400-4,700 while arhar and its dal dara variety weakened by Rs 100 each at Rs 4,150-4,350 and Rs 5,750-5,950 per quintal,respectively.
